Ruben Studdard’s Inspirational Attitude

This week on The Biggest Loser, Ruben Studdard received devastating news regarding his health. Although he lost an exceptional 21 pounds his first week to bring down his weight to 452, tests run by Dr. H regarding Ruben’s insulin and blood sugar levels revealed frightening information. Dr. H was forced to disclose to Ruben that he has been clinically diagnosed with Type 2 Diabates.

Although receiving such news was extremely overwhelming to Ruben, he has decided to react positively and continue to work even harder than before. “I am a champion,” the American Idol winner explains, “I am very determined to reverse my prognosis,” and with his positive attitude it looks like he might just do so. Dr. H explained that such a diagnosis is completely reversible, however it would take extraordinary hard work and perseverance, something that a motivated Ruben seems he is ready for.
